Management is the top skill of leaders.
The management of oneself first, then steems to the effective management of others.
One who can lead himself to greatness and prosperity within his own life can show others a path much the same.
Your dreams and everything you hope to accomplish will, at some point, need to be bestowed onto others to carry out your grand vision.
How do you manage them?
The principles of management are as follows:
1. You need knowledge and insight within all areas of your management scope (you cannot delegate what you do not know yourself, otherwise how are you to know they are doing it correctly...)
2. No one ever has your interest and vision in mind more then you do. People think about themselves first, so align the mission with their personal missions and goals.
Use Over-The-Shoulder-Management to guide and mentor those below you.
Allow them to grow into the role and find their own learning opportunities while you keep them steering in the right direction.
There is always a dichotomy of management and leadership.
Too much involvement vs. too much freedom.
Finding your perfect center point is that such great struggle.
